Road Drafter targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 Standards. Road Drafter is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Revised Section 508. An independent assistive-technology evaluation is still pending.
Known limitations
- The interactive map is visual; use the coordinate list and plan-data table alternative.
- Satellite imagery has no complete text equivalent beyond the plan data, route coordinates, and map description.
- Some PDF/UA validation still depends on independent validator and assistive-technology review.

Review and technical approach
Last reviewed: September 17, 2026. Our automated checks include axe accessibility rules, keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, and the latest supported Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge releases. NVDA and VoiceOver testing is planned and has not yet been completed; screen-reader coverage is ongoing rather than a claim that every combination has been independently evaluated. The application uses semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA where needed, CSS, and JavaScript. We test status messages, dialogs, focus order, reduced motion, and responsive reflow.
