Keyboard navigation

• Use the “Skip to main content” link at the start of each page.
• Tab moves through controls; Enter or Space activates the focused control. Escape closes an open dialog or menu and returns focus to its trigger.
• Dialogs keep focus inside while open and announce their title and purpose.
• In the map, focus the map and use arrow keys to pan; use + and − to zoom.
• Enter start, end, and waypoint coordinates in the coordinate fields to set geometry without a mouse.

Map text alternative

The plan-data table and coordinate list provide the text alternative for route geometry, work-zone extent, signs, and attributes. Satellite imagery is visual context only and is not required to understand the saved plan data.

Screen-reader notes

• Toasts and save results are announced as status messages without moving focus unexpectedly.
• The compliance citations panel has a named region and headings for each citation group.
• The PE Sign & Approve dialog names the plan, approval action, signer fields, and confirmation state before the final action.

Display and motion

Pages reflow at narrow widths and remain usable with browser zoom. Road Drafter honors the operating system's reduced-motion preference by shortening non-essential transitions and animations.
